Abstract

Immunological cardiac injury can be produced in experimental animals by the administration of: (a) homologous or heterologous heart extract with Freund's adjuvant; (b) passive transfer of humoral anticardiac antibodies; or (c) after passive transfer of cellular antibodies either through intravenous injections of immune cell suspension or by transplantation of immune spleens.
