Abstract
The slag flotation mill at the Khetri Copper Project in Rajasthan currently dumps tailings containing on an average 0.2-0.4% Cu. Characterization studies have been made on these tailings to understand the nature, distribution and type of locking-up of the Cu-bearing mineral. A sulfuric acid leaching process for recovering Cu from Khetri dump slag tailings is discussed.
