Abstract
By factorising a six-point Veneziano amplitude, the dependence of the Regge residue of a forward elastic scattering on the external masses is studied. We find it to have a (q2)-α (0) behaviour. Such a dependence for space-like q2 for the forward compton amplitude would justify "scaling" in the Bjorken limit.
