Abstract

We investigate the pattern of asymmetries in the color-octet model for inclusive production of charmonium with polarized initial state hadrons and photons. The double polarized asymmetry for J/ψ involves a new combination of long-distance matrix elements. We also investigate the asymmetries for ηc, Χc, and γ production. The asymmetries distinguish well between different models of charmonium production.
