An approach to environment awareness and Education Programmes

Abstract

In India degradation of environment continues unabated. Very few attempts have been made to educate and to involve the communities in environment related programmes The awareness or education programmes should focuson local environment situation and problems Cause effect-solution aspects should be stressed Pilot projects should be launched to identity the issues and develop methods, techniques and education material. Education should be the first step to effectively involve the communities in environment protection and development programmes.
