Abstract

We have studied the temperature dependence of photoinduced electron transfer (PET) reactions in three hydrogen-bonded donor-acceptor systems in the range 220-298 Κ . For the hydrogen-bonded system in the normal region, the PET rate constant was found to increase with increase in temperature. For the two systems in the inverted region, the rate constants were nearly independent of temperature. We have analyzed the results using electron transfer theories.
