Abstract

We have earlier observed some unusual magnetic behaviour of Eu in EuNi2P2 and Ce in CeRh3B2. Eu remains mixed valent upto 1.4 K with valency 2.5 and CeRh3B2 is an anomalously high temperature ferromagnet for cerium alloys with nonmagnetic constituents. 31P and 11B NMR have been performed in these systems. 31P NMR Knight shift, relaxation time T1 and linewidths show some interesting features. From the 11B NMR spectra, an attempt is made to characterise the nature of the cerium ion in CeRh3B2.
