Abstract

A practical approach to recycle glycine as habit modifier to produce rhombic dodecahedron shaped NaCl crystals from saturated NaCl solution is reported. It is also shown that the method is applicable to solar salt production from natural brines. The modified salt crystals have better flow characteristics than those of their cubic counterparts.
