Abstract

The redox-active bimetallic complexes, [{M(NO)L*X}2Q] [L* = tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate, HB(3,5-Me2pyz)3; M = Mo, X = Cl or I; M = W, X = Cl; Q = OC6H4(CH2)nO (n = 1-3) or NHC6H4(CH2)nO (n = 2, 3)], have been prepared and characterized spectroscopically and electrochemically (cyclic voltammetry, coulometry). The electrochemical data indicate that there can be weak interactions between the two metal-based redox centres.
