Abstract
Simple, easy-to-apply estimates are obtained for the norms, both Euclidean and generalized, of the solutions of linear time-varying vector differential equations, and for the settling times in systems which are asymptotically stable. Both eigenvalue and Gerschgorin estimates are obtained.
