Abstract

We have used the frequency-moment sum rules and a viscoelastic model for the relaxation kernels appearing in the continued-fraction representation of the generalized Langevin equation to calculate the dynamical structure factor of dense Lennard-Jones gases. Shear viscosity and diffusion coefficients have also been calculated. These results when compared with molecular-dynamics data and neutron scattering experiments show an overall good agreement for both of the density states considered.
