The energy spectra in the two even-parity bands Kpi =3 and 4+ and the two odd-parity bands Kpi =0- and 1- in the doubly-odd nucleus 168Tm are studied in the framework of the microscopic method of variation after angular momentum projection with conservation of nucleon number in each projected state. The calculated energy spectra of the four bands in 168Tm are in good agreement with the corresponding experimental data.
