Abstract
Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes of 2-[[(5-substituted-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-yl) thio]methyl]-1H-benzimidazole, 2-[[(5-substituted-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl) thio]methyl] 1H- benzimidazole and 2-[[(5-substituted-4-amino-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl) thio]methyl] 1H-benzimidazole have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H and 13C NMR (of Zn(II) complexes only), UV/visible and ESR spectra along with magnetic studies. The complexes have also been screened for their antifungal activities aganist H. oryzae and R. solani.
