Abstract
Certain interesting points concerning the boundary reaction analysis, using the finite element method, of transversely loaded circular plates are presented in this note. The numerical results covering the reactions at the boundary nodes of the plates and their variations based on the method of recovery, finite element idealisation and types of finite elements used are discussed.
