Abstract
The synthesis of dl-B-nor-6-oxaequilenin starting from 7-methoxy-4-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydrobinzofuran is described. The latter compound was prepared from the known ?-(2,4-diydroxybenzoyl)-butyric acid.
