Abstract

Rhesus monkeys immunized with the vaccine Pr-β-hCG-TT were injected with hCG/hLH in the luteal phase of the cycle in order to check whether the biological activity of these gonadotropins was neutralized by circulating antibodies. The immunized monkeys did not show a rise in plasma progesterone levels following one or more injections of hCG. The circulating antibodies did not, however, prevent an increase in plasma progesterone levels when hLH was administered.
