Abstract

From the susceptibility stratigraphy of an ocean sediment core and Qn measurements on a few randomly selected samples, it is possible to ascertain the suitability of the core for geomagnetic reversal studies. Qn values greater than unity appear to be indicative of stable NRM directions.
