Abstract

The semiconducting properties of zinc oxide that was obtained by the decomposition of thin films of zinc hydroxide formed by a wet chemical method were studied. For amorphous zinc oxide films the logR versus 1/T curves are straight lines. For crystalline films, however, the log R versus 1/T curves show a complex behaviour, with both a maximum and minimum. This property depends on the history of the sample. A possible mechanism to explain the results is suggested.
