Abstract

The high Tc cuprate superconductors are found to exhibit both d(x2-y2) and s-wave pairing symmetry. The possibility of radiation-induced development of a small d(xy) component of the superconducting order parameter with the breaking of time reversal and parity symmetry in some cuprate superconductors is suggested.
