Abstract

Quantum corrections to the radial distribution function (RDF) and thermodynamic properties for a hard-disk fluid in the semiclassical limit are calculated by means of perturbation method using the extended hypernetted-chain integral equation theory. Numerical results are given for the first order correction to the RDF and for the first and second order corrections to the free energy and equation of state. It is found that quantum effect increases with density and makes the qualitative difference to the RDF near the hard core.
