Abstract

Magnetoresistance behavior of several alloys derived from the layered compound LaMn2Ge2 is investigated, and the behavior is compared to that seen recently in artificial multilayers. The magnetoresistance is found to be positive, in the entire field range of investigation, inspite of the fact that these alloys are ferromagnetic, and the magnitude is large in some cases.
