Abstract

A green chemistry approach to nanoparticle synthesis is the exciting possibility opened up by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum. The fungus, when exposed to aqueous AuCl4 ions, reduces the metal ions; this leads to the extracellular formation of gold nanoparticles.
