Abstract
Different aspects of dynamics of freezing in a supercooled liquid are discussed with emphasis on recent theoretical developments. A unified description of the dynamics which pays proper attention to the local structure of the liquid is presented. The theory is a natural generalisation of the recently developed order parameter theory of freezing and is based on a hydrodunamic description appropriate for the dynamics of liquid-solid transitions.
