Abstract

The authors consider a new Ising model, with nearest-neighbour spin-spin interactions, on a self-avoiding-walk chain, where the walk itself is executed on a regular d-dimensional lattice. A Monte Carlo study for walks on a square lattice (d=2) has been made here, and a transition at a finite temperature has been observed. The transition temperature of the system has also been estimated using the virtual crystal approximation (for configurational averaging) and the Bethe-Pierls approximation.
