Abstract

Poly(methyl methacrylate) and poly(ethyl methacrylate) prepared by a benzoylperoxide catalysed polymerization process were fractionated. The variation of the intrinsic viscosity and HUGGINS' constant with temperature, molecular weight and solvent was studied. From the viscosity data the thermodynamic interaction parameters χ, ψ, k etc., and the solubility parameter of the polymers were evaluated and discussed.
