Abstract

The experimental methods of determining the particle size distributions suffer from truncation errors, e.g., the failure of the optical resolution below 1μ , which prevent the correct analyses of the data. The theoretical corrections to the problem can be given only in the case of the logarithmiconormal distribution where the correction is obtained by modifying the Fisher-Hald solution. Illustrative numerical examples are given for the procedure of analysing the data.
