Abstract

Using carbon-13 enriched to 61%, the Herzberg bands of CO and the Comet-tail and Baldet-Johnson bands of CO+, have been photographed. The observed isotope shifts (v12CO-vi13CO) and (v12CO+-vi13CO+) afford direct unambiguous evidence for the correct ness of the existing vibrational analyses of these bands.
