Abstract

An investigation of the n=1, 2, 3 and ∞ members of the (La, Sr)n+1MnnO3n+1or the (SrO)(La1−xSrxMnO3)n family has shown the dependence of the I-M transition temperature and the magnitude of magnetoresistance (MR) on dimensionality. MR decreases as dimensionality increases from 2 to 3.
