Abstract

The molecular structure of vinylidene chloride has been studied by the visual method using non-sectored and sectored plates and by the sector-microphotometer method. The results of the different methods are compared and discussed. The structural parameters have been found to be: C-C=1.324±0.020 Å, C-Cl=1.710±0.010 Å and ∠CICCl=14.5±1°.
