Abstract

The chromosomal locations of 17 mutant genes were determined by crossing marker stocks with the 12 primary trisomics of rice Genetic segregation in the F2 or backcross populations was studied. Of the 204 possible combinations, 186 F2 or backcross populations were studied. Results showed that the genes gf-2 and z-8 were located on chromosome 1, gh-2, bc-5, z-11, and z-12 on chromosome 2; z-9 on chromosome 3; pl-2 and st-7 on chromosome 4; z-7, Rk-3 and bc-2 on chromosome 5; z-13 on chromosome 6; wp-1, spl-9, and z-10 on chromosome 7; and chl-S on chromosome 8. In addition, the gene st-8 was located on chromosome 7 by linkage analysis.
