Abstract

D-Alloisoleucine hydrochloride monohydrate is orthorhombic, space group P212121, with a=6.13, b=24.03, c=6.80Å, Z=4. The structure was solved by the heavy-atom method and refined to an R of 0.075 with 1054 visual reflexions. The structure is not isomorphous with D-isoleucine hydrochloride monohydrate but has many common structural features.
