Abstract

For the system formed by the addition of KBr to Cd(NO3)2 in liquid NaNO3-KNO3 at 263°C, the relation of the square root of the transition time to the reciprocal of the current density shows two sections. Analysis of this behavior shows that Cd exists probably as CdBr2 in solution under the given conditions and has a lifetime of about 0.3 sec.
