Abstract

Solvolytic reactions in imidobis(sulphuryl chloride) have been carried out to prepare the ammonium and substituted ammonium salts; MexNH4-xY, where x varies from 0-4 and Y = N(SO2Cl)2, Et4NY and Et3NHY. Other solvolysed products prepared are; AlY3, R3SnY [where R = Me and Ph], TiX3Y [where X = Cl and Br], ZrCl3Y, SbCl3Y2, TeBr3Y, S4N3Y and S3N2ClY. All these compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectral studies and molar conductance measurements.
