Abstract

We show that both scaling and its violation in deep-inelastic scattering can be understood in terms of the momentum-transfer-squared dependence of the pole position in the complex scale-dimension plane, the concept of which was introduced by us recently. Recent experimental data are consistent with six poles whose trajectories are parallel to each other rising linearly with lnq2 in the region 2≤q2≤50 (GeVc)2.
