Abstract

It is shown that the amplitude for electron-electron scattering through the exchange of a photon, when considered as a function of the scale dimension (d) of the photon field, has poles which move with momentum transfer. Explicit expressions for the position of these poles in the neighborhood of d=1 for low and high momentum transfers are given.
