Abstract

Res, DOPA and CA resemble GA3 in inducing floral buds in Impatiens balsamina under strictly non-inductive photoperiods, while Cat does not do so. 1 mg/liter Res and 100 mg/liter CA in combination with 100 mg/liter GA3 even hastened the initiation of floral buds. All the tested phenols, in combination with 100 mg/liter GA3, caused a synergistic increase in the number of floral buds.
