Abstract

The effect of GA3 on the initiation and the development of epiphyllous buds in Bryophyllum tubiflorum exposed to different photoperiods was studied. It was observed that although the bud primordia were initiated under both photoperiods, they developed as epiphyllous buds only under the LD condition. GA3 did not affect the magnitude of bud development under SD and inhibited it under the LD condition.
