Abstract
Application of N-lithio-ethylenediamine as an isomerizing and dehydrogenating reagent has been further extended. It is useful for partial aromatization of cadinenic terpenes and for conversion of selenenic compounds to heteroannular diene, optical rotation of which throws light on the absolute configuration of the parent compound. It is also useful for smooth isomerization of fatty acid.
