Abstract

By H3 bombardment, two neutrons have been introduced into Rh and Co nuclei according to reactions Rh103(H3,p)Rh105 and Co59(H3,p)Co61, with half-lives of 35 hours and 1.75 hours, respectively. The mechanism appears to be an Oppenheimer-Phillips process with H3. The results are interpreted in the light of the di-neutron (0n2). It is believed that 0n2 may exist under the physical conditions of the experiments reported.
