Abstract

Heterobimetallic chloride alkoxides of the type [MZr2(OPr-i)8C1(μ-C1)]2 have been prepared by the reactions of appropriate metal chlorides, MCl2 (M=Be(II), Mg(II), Zn(II), and Sn(II)) with Zr(OPr-i)4 in 1:2 molar ratio in benzene. All these derivatives have been characterised by elemental analyses, spectroscopic (IR, 1H and 13TNMR) studies as well as by molecular weight determinations.
