Abstract

Mixed bimetallic halide isopropoxides of zirconium and aluminium having the general formula, XnZrAl2(OPri)10-n (where n = 1 or 2; X = Cl, Br, acetylacetone anion) and [X3ZrAl(OPri)4]3·2PriOH have been synthesised and characterised by elemental analyses and molecular weight determinations. The IR and 1H NMR spectra of these newly synthesised complexes throw light on their probable structures.
