Abstract

Reactions of alkanolamines [R1R2NXOH: R1 = H, CH3, C2H5, C4H9t, C6H5; R2 = H, CH3, C2H5 and X = -CH2CH2-, -CH2CH2CH2-, -CH2CHCH3, -C6H4CH2CH2-, -CH2CH2SCH2CH2-] with 2-etnoxy-4,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborinane and 2-ethoxy-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane have been carried out in equimolar ratios. The products so obtained are either distillable liquids (or solids which can be sublimed), soluble in common organic solvents and susceptible to hydrolysis even by atmospheric moisture. The new derivatives are characterized by elemental analyses, I.R., 1H NMR spectra, refractive indices and molecular weight measurements.
