Abstract
Some 2-(trimethylsiloxy)-1,3,2-dioxaborolanes and borinanes have been synthesized by cleavage of corresponding trialkyltin or germanium derivatives with trimethylchlorosilane. Bis(4,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborinane-2-oxy)-dimethylsiloxane was also synthesized by the reaction of triphenyltin derivative with dimethyldichlorosilane in (2:1) molar ratio. Some physical measurements, e.g., molecular weights, infra-red and p.m.r. spectra have been recorded.
