Abstract

Zirconium isopropoxide isopropanolate reacts with various oximes in refluxing benzene to give complexes of the formula, Zr(OPr)i4-x (ON = CR1R2) x (x = 1-4; R1 = Me, Et; R2 = Me, Et, Prn, Pri, Ph; R1 = R2 = (CH2)5. Ebullioscopic molecular weight measurements in benzene show that some of these derivatives are polymeric in nature. I.r. spectra have been recorded and some probable assignment have been made.
