Abstract
Monomeric trialkyl bis(iminoxy)stibines, R3Sb(ONCR'R")2 [R = Me and R', R" = Me, Me; Me, Et; Me, Pr; Me, Ph; Et, Et; NH2, Ph. R = Et and R' R" = Me, Me; Me, Et; Me, Ph], have been synthesized by the reactions of trialkylstibine dibromides with sodium oximates. On the basis of spectroscopic studies, a trigonal bipyramidal geometry has been suggested for all these derivatives, except Me3Sb(ONCNH2Ph)2 which appears to become hexacoordinated in the solid state.
