Abstract

A detailed investigation of the enzyme make-up of Vibrio cholerae has been undertaken with the view of studying the metabolic activities of the pathogen. Deamination of amino-acids by a few strains of Vibrio cholerae has been reported elsewhere. This communication covers preliminary observations on the dehydrogenase activity of an Ogawa strain (No. 49514-Kasauli), and the Inaba and the Rough variants derived from it.
