Abstract

In the crystal, the molecules of 'oxa-bowl' 3 are interconnected in rim-up, rim-down fashion through an extensive network of C(sp3)-H...O hydrogen bonds involving even a non acidic cyclobutane ring hydrogen, leading to a multi-columnar arrangement of bowls and a 3D interpenetrating C-H...O net.
