Abstract

Experimental results are presented showing that a Br2-methanol etching solution may be used to orient by the light figure technique, the (110) plane and to reveal the {001} and the {112} planes of ZnGeP2. The etching characteristics of a new solution (2 cm3 of HF, 2 cm3 of HNO3 and 1 cm3 of CH3COOH with about 2 mg of iodine dissolved) are also presented.
