Abstract

Velocity-field characteristics for electrons in a quantum well two-dimensional GaAs system have been calculated by the Monte Carlo method. The characteristics are different from those obtained earlier by using the displaced-Maxwellian approximation, but no negative differential resistance is exhibited.
