Abstract

Infrared multiphoton dissociation of trifluoroacetic anhydride by a pulse CO2 yields CF3COF, C2F4 and CO2 as the major, and COF2, CO and C2F6 as minor photoproducts. Infrared fluorescence from a photoproduct, COF2, is observed. The intermolecular V → V and V → T relaxation rate constants are calculated to be 8× 104 and 3× 104 s-1 Torr-1, respectively.
